Our Baby's First Picture

As you may probably be able to tell from the pictures, today Ian and I met our baby for the first time, face to ultrasound macheine. Turns out, we're only having one baby so anyone who voted for twins...sorry.

Our doctor is a very nice man. I'm glad that I chose to go with him rather than the other doctor at the office.

We were also able to see the baby's heart beat which was really neat. I was absolutely tickled.

Because today is such a special event, we have a special blog suprise for you. The reaction of the ultrasound...from Dad.

Ian's Reaction:

"I thought it was so cool that it moved around and wiggled and it also became more real that we're going to have a baby. It wasn't just all in our heads. But, then a sense of responsibility came and I thought "Holy Cow, I gotta raise this kid."

Ian certainly enjoyed the experience and I did too. I was glad to see it move and watch and realize that even though it's only an inch long the baby is actually functioning and thus far, healthy. The miracle of life! What a beautiful thing!
